ACCREDITATIONS & LAB
Our quality assurances and systems are underpinned by certification to ISO 9001 for Quality Management and ISO 14001 for Environmental Management, in addition to BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials certification on our key production lines for food safety. We also have experience in certifying our products to demanding industry specific requirements, such as UN Dangerous Goods.
We work to stringent quality control standards in our processes from initiation of a new job through to final despatch. Our internal quality team are supported by material scientists and comprehensive laboratory facilities for the sampling and testing of production.
OUR HISTORY
Originally established in 1974 by Stuart Reeves, the family-run business has a long heritage. SPP was formed in 2003 from the printing division of the original business and was incorporated in 2021 as SPP Flexible Packaging Ltd.
Our roots are in paper flexible packaging, and we soon moved into production in the 1970s, with the acquisition of a packaging printer. Sustainable innovation has been at the heart of our strategy for many years, and in 2015 we launched 2humus – one of the UKs first ranges of certified home compostable printed high performance packaging films for food applications.
