Recyclable mono-material plastics are a very popular sustainable solution for flexible packaging. This largely due to the fact that they enable you to reduce your packaging’s impact on the environment, whilst maximizing your branding and minimizing operational efficiency loss.
In order to be recyclable the material needs to be mono-material, made from either Polythene (PE) or Polypropylene (PP).

In order to be recyclable the material needs to be mono-material, made from either Polythene (PE) or Polypropylene (PP).
Currently in the UK there are very few councils that collect flexible plastics for recycling, so they are not currently considered home recyclable. However PE and PP are recyclable front-of-store at the supermarkets.
